I find the above building fascinating. It is the Cherrel Hirst Creative Learning Centre at the Brisbane Girls Grammar School in Spring Hill (M3 Architects). I find the facade treatement to be mesmerising... and it is my inspriation for the facade treatment of my Environmental Education centre.
This condition is created by the use of aluminium battens in front of a backdrop of black and white painted vertical stripes. Not only does it create and INCREDIBLE visual experience, but it is very simple and also provides the building with sunshading.
